La Malquerida is the result of the fusion of two up-and-coming careers on the Valencian music scene. The lyrics and voice of Isabel Julve, in conjunction with the musical compositions and guitar of José “El Piru”, make up a new, unique project. An emerging group with an emotional, enveloping, vibrant sound that goes far beyond anything they have done before: free and exuberant, free of any ties, giving vent to an overwhelming creativity. A renewing fusion that draws unabashedly from the most heartfelt flamenco to beat reminiscences, brushstrokes of jazz and flashes of the most current pop. A self-penned work from the first to the last track, shining with the originality of a unique and personal sound.
In their show “Postdata” they are backed by first-rate musicians:
José Luis Porras on double bass and Jesús Gimeno on drums.
