José “El Piru” (guitar), Juanan Torandell (double bass) and José Llorach (percussion) come together to form SAÓ. The result is a repertoire of their own, unlabelled and full of strength and subtlety. SAÓ was conceived on the island of Mallorca and drinks from the sources of flamenco, African music, jazz and Mediterranean music, creating a dialogue of improvisations and dynamics. A small-format journey, but with a broad outlook.
